General Questions

How long will it take to receive my design concepts?

You will receive your initial concepts in the specified number of days on the design package ordered, after your order is placed and your payment is accepted.

Can I see you in person?

Of course you can. We have a physical office in Southbank Melbourne. You are more than welcome to visit us and talk through your design.

Would it be possible to enhance or modify my current logo?

Yes. If you have an existing logo, designs, website, we can revamp it. Please contact us to discuss the requirements and charges that will be applied.

I would like to protect my idea; will DesignStation sign a non-disclosure agreement?

We respect your privacy and intellectual property. We can sign a non-disclosure document if you require.

Ordering

How do I place a design order?

You can order a design package by selecting and creating the design order. Once you have created the order simply order and we will contact you for payment and start the process. You can also phone us to start the process.

How do I place a special project design order?

If you need a design service other than what is specified on the website, you will need to speak to us directly to work out your requirements and costs.

What methods of payment does DesignStation accept?

We accept credit card payments (Visa/MasterCard), Electronic Fund Transers and certified cheques are also accepted. Payment must be received before work commences.

How do I know that my payment has been accepted?

One of our representatives will send you a confirmation via e-mail detailing the package you ordered and the approved payment.

The Process

Will I speak to someone before my project begins?

We will always speak to you directly. Constant communication is essential to the process and to ensuring that you are completely satisfied. We appreciate all your comments and depend on them to succeed and prosper.

What happens once I place my design order?

We have specified turnaround times on our design packages. This turnaround time is needed to thoroughly and concisely research your company, product or service. We need to understand your type of business before we create any unique designs. To create the right design we will always create a brief to start.

How can I view design samples?

We will contact you via e-mail to notify you that your designs are ready to view.

What happens if I am not satisfied with the initial design concepts?

If you are not satisfied with the initial designs, we will work with you to create some new design samples for you to choose from. We will work with you until you are completely satisfied.

What happens after I choose my finalised design?

Our designers will supply you with all the necessary files to ensure high quality printing for promotional material, signs, stationery printing, web use and other digital media.

How will I receive my final files?

You will receive your all your final design files via e-mail.

Terms & Conditions

In ordering the services of DesignStation, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read these terms carefully. If you do not accept these Terms and Conditions stated here without modification, you may not use the DesignStation service. DesignStation is a design firm and internet company of which clients can view and order design services and web services to be produced for their company through the website (www.designstation.com.au). DesignStation graphic designers communicate with clients through email or phone. DesignStation has a physical office in Melbourne, Victoria, and can meet with clients physically if required.

Payment.

All orders on this website must be pre-paid before fulfilment. All orders are placed in Australian dollars including GST. If you pay for an order with your credit card, we do not store your credit card number on our servers, however it may be retained by our payment gateway provider in circumstances where this is required. In the case of offline payment, we will contact you to arrange payment. This process must be completed before your design order can start. Once the design brief is submitted to DesignStation, all applicable design fees are payable.

A 50% pre-paid production fee is payable by client to start production of briefing and design concepts for presentation.

On client approval of selected design concept, final 50% payment is required to proceed to production of final design work.

Delivery of final designs, artwork, printing, website will not be dispatched if final payment is not received within 14 days of concept approval to proceed.

Refunds.

Refunds can only be made on Initial design concepts of 50% production costs. Refunds must be requested at the time of the submission of the initial design concepts. Once the client has approved the initial design concept to continue, the money back guarantee is not applicable. We will continue with the work until you are satisfied. All requests for a refund must be made in writing within 2 working days from delivery of the initial design concepts. Any external costs, including costs accrued from illustrator, photography, printer etc. suppliers will not be refunded.

If client is not satisfied with the initial design concepts and wishes to cancel the order, the client shall be entitled to 90% refund of charges. We retain 10% for the costs of developing initial design concepts.

Extra concepts and revisions, these may be requested at initial design concept stage. The client may be charged for extra concepts or revisions per concept and revision.

General


Prices and Taxes.

Prices are displayed to Australian visitors of this website (unless otherwise marked) including GST if applicable to the product, and in Australian Dollars.

Design Briefs.

It is the client's responsibility to send any design briefs to DesignStation (text & images to be included and provide detailed descriptions). DesignStation may decide in its own discretion to reject a creative brief if the project has not yet been paid for.

Ordering and Payments.

The client orders the services of DesignStation. DesignStation will design the first concepts for the client and email them. Project design shall not begin until full payment is received and project shall not be completed all design details have been received by DesignStationincluding any images and content.

Revision Cycles.

Revision cycles consist of a number of times in which the artwork is sent to the client to review. Client agrees to provide timely responses to DesignStation after receiving status notifications from DesignStation. It is the client's responsibility to maintain in contact with our design team during the design process. Client shall have a set maximum days to respond to each set of samples sent to them for review. If after 60 days client fails to respond DesignStation will assume the production/project complete, DesignStation will close the project. At such time DesignStation shall have no further obligation to the client. DesignStation shall not be held responsible for the condition of the artwork in the event of such circumstance. If client responds after 60 days, a fee to have the project reopened may apply.

Production/Turnaround Time.

DesignStation, specifies the time that it will take to finish the artwork in each of the packages included, if by any circumstance the process takes longer, in such circumstance client will be notified of the delay and will be given an approximated date in which the artwork will be finished. This can happen if DesignStation receives a large amount of orders. DesignStation gives initial design turnaround times for each package; the full project time depends on the client's response to revisions. Turnaround time is calculated from the day that DesignStation sends the design confirmation to client after having received design brief, full payment and any additional information or images.

Special Offers and Discounts.

DesignStation can in its own right begin and end special offers at any time. When DesignStation has promotional discounts available, clients must follow the correct instructions and enter the code if requested and how it is requested. DesignStation will not provide any refunds to accommodate for discounts where they have not been applied due to customer error, DesignStation will not be held responsible for form errors. DesignStation will only accept orders with discounts where the code has been entered and/or correct instructions have been followed.

Additional costs.

DesignStation packages are purchased at a specific set price. Additional costs may apply if client requests services that are not included in the package, especially with website design packages. For example; our website design packages include a specific amount of informative pages and on contact form, if client requests an image gallery, tables within the content, any other graphics or icons to be designed additional costs will apply.

Copyright.

DesignStation shall not be held responsible for artwork produced for a company that may not be registered and that there may be a legal issue due to the business name, therefore after the artwork has been produced DesignStation shall not be binded to the company logo in any manner. After project is finalised, additional fees apply for modifying artwork. DesignStation cannot guarantee that a design will be absolutely unique.

Eligibility.

To be able to qualify for the use of services of DesignStation client must be 18 years and over, agree to these terms and conditions, and complete the Ordering process and sign a contract if applicable.

Disclaimer

DesignStation is in its own right to change, edit or add to these terms and conditions in its own discretion at anytime. a) Portfolio, Client's artwork is used as samples in our portfolio, DesignStation has the right to display artwork created by designers on our website, visual and any print advertising.

The DesignStation website, all written content and graphic images, including client artwork displayed on the website are copyright of DesignStation, Although DesignStation maintains copyrights to having designed the artwork only; full copyright belongs to the client. All content and graphic images shall not be copied in any manner, this is strictly prohibited. Any company that does not respect these terms will be in serious violation of copyright laws.

DesignStation website rights. DesignStation shall not be held responsible for delays on the web site or any other problems which the client may experience with the web site at anytime, although DesignStation and its owners want to provide the best experience possible for visitors to our website, therefore we will try to fix any problems and/or barriers there may be. DesignStation reserves the right to remove part or all of the web site and/or its content at anytime, which may be to edit and/or upgrade and transform all or part of the web site.

The above terms and conditions apply to all our design services. If a client contravenes the DesignStation terms and conditions, the service will be terminated immediately with no refund.
